Extra! Extra!
As part of a university project, I designed a logo for a children's news channel called "Extra! Extra." The goal was to create a vibrant and engaging visual identity that would appeal to young audiences while conveying the channel's focus on delivering news in an accessible and fun way. The final design combines playful elements with bold typography, capturing the excitement and energy of the channel’s content.
Step 1: Sketches
I started my process with some very rough sketches using pen and paper. Here are my 3 favorite sketches for this logo, I usually draw around 10 in total.
Step 2: Digital Sketches
Once happy with the physical sketches I then move to a digital workspace where I sharpen my drawing try colours and get closer to a finished product.
Step 3: Final Logo
Final Step: Making It Move!
With this project I was tasked with creating a short 8-10 second video where I animate the logo, I start this process once the logo is finalised then I take it into an animation software and begin to make it move.
